Director of Catering

Windsor Capital Group, Inc. is searching for an experienced DIRECTOR OF CATERING to lead the catering sales efforts for the new Embassy Suites Hotel -Denver Downtown. The 403 room hotel has 17,000 sq feet of meeting space and is currently under construction. The hotel is scheduled to open in December 2010.

The successful candidate will possess the following traits - energetic, creative, motivated, sales driven, results oriented, team player and a leader. WCG believes these traits are the foundation for the DOC to successfully build and maintain business relationships with all market segments including but not limited to the following: corporate meeting planners, conventions, business meetings, associations, sports group, and social event markets. Oversee the Catering department to ensure that the hotel is meeting the expectations of budgeted revenue while exceeding the meeting planners and guests customer service expectations.

Previous Work Experience to include:
* Opening of a hotel.
* Minimum of 5 years Hotel Director of Catering experience
* Hilton/Embassy brand experience
* Outside sales calls
* Previous experience managing a team of 3 or more.

Essential Skill Set:
* Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to create, develop, and make formal presentations using audio/visual aids.
* Hands on Management style.
* Strong organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
* Ability to mentor, train and develop a team oriented department.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Strong selling technique, negotiating skills and the ability to close the sale.

Computer Experience Preferred:
* Sales Pro
* Word, Excel, Powerpoint
* OnQ
* Internet savvy

Miscellaneous requirements:
* The position will be required to attend off site client meetings, bridal expos and other trade show events.
*Will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as appropriate to business level.
* Periodic airplane travel may be required.
* Relocation will not be paid.
* Only qualified candidates with hotel experience will be considered.
