Third Annual Embassy Suites Galleria Festival of Trees Raises Money for Local Non-Profit Charities

Embassy Suites Atlanta Galleria 2012 Festival of Trees

Annual Cobb Galleria Festival of Trees

The Embassy Suites Atlanta - Galleria is proud to announce that this year's Festival of Trees raised $29,900 for 37 local charities!

Nothing captures the spirit of Christmas better than singing carols, sipping on hot chocolate and nibbling on some red and green sprinkled cookies. The Cobb Galleria Festival of Trees is a great opportunity for the Atlanta community to make a difference in the lives of others by embodying the true meaning of Christmas through fund raising for local charitable organizations. Admirers can "vote" for their favorite tree or charity by donating money in envelopes designated at each tree. The tree with the highest monetary donation will receive an additional donation from the hotel so every vote matters!

Third Annual Festival of Trees Festivities

In its inaugural year, the 2010 event raised $14,000. In its second year, the Cobb Galleria Festival of Trees set an ambitious goal of raising $20,000 for 30 local charities and raised $29, 618. This year tops them all! The trees went up the weekend of November 9th and stayed up through the end of the year, giving the community plenty of time to thoroughly enjoy the decorations and make a contribution. The culmination of the festival was the hotel's Anniversary Gala Reception. The event featured food, beverage and live local entertainment capped off with Santa Claus handing each organization their donations.

Our Atlanta hotel gave an additional $1,000 to to Camp Juliette Low, which raised the most totaling over $5,500. Homeless Pets Foundation raised over $4,500 and received  $500 from Epic Response, Inc. for second place. The St. Vincent de Paul society received the "People's Choice Award" of $250 from Gas South.

Thanks to the wonderful Atlanta community for making this event possible!
