Known as the Concord Pavilion when the amphitheatre opened in 1975, the facility stood as a unique example of community effort and response to the need for a major performing arts facility in the Diablo Valley in northern California. Over the years, the Pavilion has been home to a wide variety of the performing arts, from rock, jazz, classical, country, folk music, and community events. ![]() The Sleep Train Pavilion is a 12,500 seat outdoor amphitheater serving the San Francisco Bay Area. The Pavilion season runs from April through November averaging about 25 events. Take the train to the Concord BART station and catch the FREE shuttle to and from the Sleep Train Pavilion. Service begins 90 minutes prior to each event, and runs every 15 to 20 minutes. |
