Take a Step in the Right Direction for Breast Cancer Research

The Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research is doing its best to find a cure for a disease that claims at least 1 life every 75 seconds. However, finding such a cure is extremely difficult and costly. That is why the Susan G. Komen foundation is partnering up with the city of Temecula, California, to host the 2010 Race for the Cure!

On October 17, 2010, over 13,000 participants will grace the streets of the Promenade Temecula, California, for the Inland Empire Race for the Cure. Who are you running for? Your mother? Your sister? A friend, co-worker or other family member? Yourself?

No matter the person you are running for, the fact is everyone is running for a great cause. You will be participating in one of the most recognizable and successful fund raising events in history by attending the 2010 Race for the Cure in Temecula, Ca. The Susan G. Komen foundation is hoping to reach a goal of $1.3 million raised during this event, and every single dollar of that will go directly towards research, education, screening and treatment programs. Up to 75% of the total proceeds will remain in the Inland Empire in Temecula for research and treatment, while the remaining 25% will go directly to the Susan G. Komen Cure Award and Research Grant Program.
