The Performing Arts Division operates the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Dr.,which houses the 800-seat Hofmann Theatre and the 300-seat Dean Lesher Theatre. Opened in October 1990, the Center is home to the City's own Center Repertory Co., Diablo Light Opera Co. and Contra Costa Musical Theatre.

The Dean Lesher is an excellent place to learn about plays and to watch completely amazing plays performed by amazing and stunning actors. You can buy year passes to see many kid friendly plays that are completely great. They even let small kids come up, right next to the stage.
